## Choose the right send type

| Tool | Use it when |

| Template | You want reusable structure, tone, and variables for a common offer. |
| Manual send | A lead needs a one-off, carefully reviewed message. |
| Draft | You want to prepare or personalize messages before anything is sent. |
| Sequence | You want a scheduled flow of up to three email steps. |

## Before starting a sequence

- Confirm that the correct sender is connected and active.
- Review every recipient and remove leads that are not relevant.
- Check variables and AI-personalized content for accuracy.
- Choose timing that is appropriate for the recipient’s location.
- Identify yourself clearly and provide an appropriate opt-out route.

Replies remain in your mailbox. Dotless sends messages but does not read or classify replies. Check the connected inbox and pause follow-up when a recipient responds or opts out.

## Manage active outreach

Use Sequences to review scheduled work and Manual sends for one-off messages. If a mailbox disconnects, reconnect it before expecting queued sends to continue.
