How a search works

A search combines a geographic area with business filters. Dotless finds matching public business listings, normalizes the information, and saves the resulting leads to your workspace.

Only one search can run in a workspace at a time. The progress screen shows the current stage and an estimated remaining time. Actual completion depends on the size and density of the selected area.

Search controls

Control

What it changes

Location or map area

Defines the geographic market Dotless searches.

Categories

Focuses results on the business types relevant to your offer.

Minimum rating

Removes businesses below the selected public rating.

Without a website

Prioritizes businesses for which Dotless did not identify a current first-party website.

Result amount

Sets the requested list size, up to 500 leads per search.

How many credits does a search use?

One credit is one contact searched, so a search uses as many credits as the result amount you request: 50 contacts costs 50 credits, up to the 500 maximum. The available balance appears before confirmation, and completed results stay in the workspace even if the plan later changes.

The credit is spent by the search itself. There is no second charge for revealing a contact that the search already found.

Website detection filters out directories, booking pages, social profiles, unrelated businesses, and inactive sites where possible. Review important leads before using the website result in outreach.

Start another search

After the current search finishes, open New search. A different area or category creates a separate result set, allowing you to compare markets without overwriting previous searches.
